Schrager Hotels

Commissioned by the Schrager organization, NOSANCHUK explored the possibilities of defining hotel public spaces by combining architectural elements with flat screen technology.

Concept one reinvented the disco ball as a rotating media center, reshaping the rectangular display into a media porthole and providing unlimited content from within the hotel and beyond.

Concept two explored the notion of the voyeur and reflection, replacing the mirror behind the “bar” with a continuous flat screen displaying real time video from another Schrager hotel bar scene. Here, the act of vanity, “looking at oneself”, is replaced with the view of another bar. This creates a real time connection to the social settings and architecture at other Schrager hotels.
